icon  Duck Race

A charity duck race was one of the events held on our club's 75th anniversary celebration day in 2012. The race was held over a short section of battlefield brook in Sanders Park. The race is now run every year, weather permitting.

100 rubber ducks were let lose near to The Mission and fought their way over a number of weirs and around several obstacles to the finish line just past the bridge.

Despite the poor weather conditions the event was very popular, especially with the children, and for all those that missed it we will be running another race during the summer.
